Last lender ditches self-cert

As reported in Mortgage Solutions today, 13 Nov 2009: 

Beacon Home Loans has today withdrawn from the self-certification market. There are now no UK mortgage lenders active in the sector. The news comes hard on the heels of Platform's exit from self-cert announced on 4th November.MortgageFinders believes that the industry needs to urgently find a solution to this issue as without one many self employed individuals will find themselves unable to get a mortgage in the future.
